The very fact of using the energy produced locally is therefore an aspect of strong sustainability of this territory. Simona Nicastro told us about all the energy she has put in place in her life to travel, get to know, become passionate about people and change your focus. Let’s go a little deeper and discover with her something more about her ambitions.
You told us that you have traveled a lot. Is travel for you a metaphor for…?
Knowledge.
The greenest city you’ve ever lived?
I would say Milan.
What is the most interesting sustainable project you have seen developed in a city?
I am very attracted to the projects that are being born in large cities related to sustainable agriculture. I am referring to those projects that bring the consumer and the producer into contact and that allow the development of a more conscious consumer awareness.
Can you tell us what the start-up you work for does?
My work aims to help young people, we have a target mainly under 35, to remain “employable” over time within the world of work. We offer them a continuous training course that goes to enhance and implement their professional skills.
Clear. In this sense, what advice do you want to give to the younger generations who are approaching the world of work for the first time?
To always study and continue to train in the context in which they see themselves projected for the future. Culture and competence are the only aspects on which a worker can be truly competitive.
You told us that for you “change is a constant” of life and that “every day is a turning point”. What do you expect from your tomorrow?
I would like to build a family.
“Change” for you is
…a push upwards!
