Experience the magic of Christmas by electric car

A pleasant journey of recharging between the Christmas markets

The exponential increase in the number of electric cars circulating in Italy is bringing with it and will continue to bring with it a number of changes in perspective and ways of using the means of transport rarely explored so far with thermal cars.
We are talking about all those possibilities for daily recharging, made possible by the Be Charge network of recharging points (including the interoperable columns on our app), which allow refuelling to coincide with moments normally experienced during the course of our days.

We are talking about more pleasant experiences – such as going to a restaurant, on holiday, to the cinema and so on – and others more related to routine, such as shopping, going to the gym and all those places we regularly visit in our cities, be they small, medium or large.

In the E-Mobility Life column, for all the months of 2021 we have tried to tell you about each of these possibilities, to get all e-drivers to understand that it is already possible to live peacefully without recharging anxiety, as long as we fit the moments of our lives into the so-called bottle.

Now that the Christmas season is upon us, we find ourselves presenting a pleasant possibility of recharging, which has come to fruition again after several suspensions linked to last year’s health emergency: we are talking about the Christmas markets.

Although they have not been confirmed throughout the country for the same reasons as a year ago, hundreds of Christmas markets will be set up in many cities over the next few days and weeks, a time of sharing – and why not, a way of helping many small businesses – loved by young and old alike.

Nothing could be easier, therefore, than driving an electric car to one of these temporary exhibitions, considering the average time of a visit. Starting from Milan, one of the city’s best-known markets is the one held at the Castello Sforzesco – the so-called Fiera Degli Obej Obej – a stone’s throw from the Be Charge column in Via Arco.

It is impossible not to mention Bologna, where we find the Santa Lucia Fair – also mentioned by Guccini in Eskimo – in Strada Maggiore, the Christmas Fair in Via Altabella and the French Christmas Village in Piazza Minghetti. In this case, all you have to do is leave your car in one of the Be Charge columns near the centre of Bologna to be able to visit all three exhibitions in a pleasant walk.

Moving on to Umbria, special mention must be made of Gubbio, a medieval Umbrian town that welcomes thousands of tourists every year for its markets and where last year the world’s largest Christmas tree was erected. In the city, there is a convenient quick column in Via Perugina.  Going south, in Lecce we find the Christmas Fair of Toys, decorations and Christmas gifts, in Piazza Mazzini, a stone’s throw from the Be Charge column in Via Egidio Reale.
