According to a recent survey conducted by TheFork, at the time of the reopening of the catering activities, 79% of Italians said they wanted to return to sit at a restaurant table within three weeks. 62.5% of respondents also stated that they will return to eating out with the same regularity as in the pre-Covid period.
The habit of enjoying a meal away from home has been part of Italian culture for centuries, if we consider that the first restaurants began to see the light already during the 1700s and then consolidated, reaching all social classes, from the second post-war period onwards.
In 2019, Italians spent around 86 million euros in restaurants – a number that confirmed the upward trend of the sector that began in 2014 and stopped for pandemic contingencies in 2020.
It has been estimated that a meal is eaten at the restaurant – lunch breaks aside – lasts on average almost two hours. The charging to a 22kW column would allow the car to gain at least 150 kilometers of autonomy, corresponding to about 50% of the car’s capacity. By charging a Volkswagen ID.3, we would even get almost a full charge.
